Sailing is a great interest in the municipality. Mönsterås, Timmernabben and Pataholm have yacht clubs arranging various events during the summer.

If you want to learn how to sail, or develop your sailing ability, you can register for a sailing course at the Mönsterås Yacht Club. The Yacht club has also hosted larger events, such as the Swedish Championship for IF type yachts. The Boat Club Mönsterås has created a five star pleasure boat harbour at Oknö, and added a new, modern service facility to its activities.

The Mönsterås region offers fine and varied canoeing waters. Choose between paddling in the beautiful archipelago or in one of the rivers, Emån or Alsterån.
